A project for today
and tomorrow
The 52@65 project is located 0.28 miles north of CR 300 near Lebanon, in Boone County, Indiana. 52@65 is an Indiana Department of Transportation project using state and federal funds to improve the level of service to the
I-65 interchange at US 52. In addition to providing immediate benefits to the community, this project–which is currently in the design phase–will allow the region to handle future connectivity and access requirements.

Need
As currently constructed, the
I-65/US 52 interchange only provides partial access for motorists. Vehicles are required to use the SR 47 and SR 32 interchanges to reach the areas east and west of I-65 near the US 52 interchange, as well as less direct routes through residential areas and downtown Lebanon.
Benefits
The project will provide improved mobility and direct access to the areas east and west of I-65, north of Lebanon. In addition to providing these immediate benefits to the community, this project will allow the region to handle future connectivity and access requirements.
Timing
The 52@65 project is in its design phase, which is expected to be completed by Fall 2024. The next step will be to accept bids from construction contractors and vendors, which is scheduled for late 2024, with construction beginning in Spring 2025. Substantial construction should be complete by Fall 2026.
